Loris Cresson has a clear target for his step up to the FIM Endurance World Championship’s top level in 2024.
The 25-year-old from Belgium will form part of the BMRT3D maxxess Nevers line-up as the French squad graduates to the Formula EWC category following success in the EWC’s Superstock division. And he plans to make his Kawasaki fly.
Cresson posted on Facebook: “A new challenge for the team and we'll be able to show our true speed and agility in EWC.”
As well as Cresson, BMRT3D maxxess Nevers has confirmed Julien Pilot and reserve Kevin Denis for 2024 with a one further rider to be announced.
Le Mans hosts the EWC season-opening 24 Heures Motos from 18-21 April.

FIM Endurance World Championship rider Cocoro Atsumi is heading to Suzuka early after he landed a wildcard entry for the All Japan Road Race Championship season opener next month.Suzuka will host Japan’s round of the EWC in July and Atsumi, who was announced as Yoshimura SERT Motul’s reserve rider for the upcoming EWC season, is getting some early practice during the Suzuka 2&4 event from 9-10 March.The 28-year-old will compete in the JSB1000 category aboard a Yoshimura-tuned Suzuki GSX-R1000R. And his domestic series holds special memories for Atsumi, as he explained.“My start [with Yoshimura SERT Motul] was as a reserve rider at the Bol d'Or last season, and it gave me an opportunity of a wildcard entry at the All Japan Road Race Championship and occasions of local tests,” Atsumi said. ‘My understanding of the GSX-R1000R and Bridgestone tyres has been improving and also the teamwork has deepened. I hope to learn a lot from the team and my three strong team-mates this season, which will help me grow as a racing rider. I will do my best to achieve our goal to win each race and to get the EWC champion title. Of course I will standby for [when I am needed to race].”

Wójcik Racing Team has added to its FIM Endurance World Championship line-up with the addition of Hungarian rider Bálint Kovács.The 22-year-old will join forces with Polish trio Kamil Krzemień, Jurand Kuśmierczyk and Artur Wielebski as the reserve rider on the #77 Wójcik Racing Team Honda for the three European-based rounds.Kovács is no stranger to Wójcik Racing Team having raced for the squad in the 24 Heures Motos in 2021 and in the inaugural 24H SPA EWC Motos the following season, where he helped the team finish in fifth position.As well as his EWC commitments, Kovács will contest the Internationale Deutsche Motorradmeisterschaft for the BCC Alpha van Zon BMW team.Photo: Facebook.com/bikebalint
