To mark one day to go until the winner of the inaugural FIM EWC Cares Trophy is revealed, FIMEWC.com is completing its overview of the actions taken by the three finalists in contention for the coveted FIM Endurance World Championship award.

Having highlighted the work of Team Chromeburner-RAC41-Honda and Honda Viltaïs Racing, today it’s the turn of Team Bolliger Switzerland, the third of three award contenders.

A stalwart EWC entrant, the Kawasaki-powered outfit remains one of the championship’s leading independent teams and one with sustainability at its heart as the following demonstrates:

Charitable contributions: Team Bolliger Switzerland raised funds for the Allani Children’s Hospice by donating one Swiss franc for every lap completed in this year’s EWC. Following September’s Bol d’Or it made a donation of 1874 CHF to the centre.

Local sourcing and sustainability: Some 90 per cent of its food used to feed its riders and mechanics during EWC events is sourced from local businesses, which supports nearby communities and helps to reduce the team’s carbon footprint.

Environmental initiatives: Team Bolliger Switzerland has swapped disposable eating utensils in favour of reusable items. Its members also participate in an annual Clean Up Day around the local community.

Waste management: Waste separation and recycling at racetracks, with a focus on recycling PET bottles and upcycling materials like damaged leather suits, are key tasks undertaken by Team Bolliger Switzerland.

Team cohesion and community engagement: Team Bolliger Switzerland functions like a close-knit family, bonding over Swiss cultural activities and emphasising teamwork and volunteering.

FIM EWC Cares Trophy in short
The FIM EWC Cares Trophy, created by FIM Endurance World Championship promoter Warner Bros. Discovery Sports (WBD Sports), recognises the sustainable efforts of registered teams in all activities directly associated with their EWC participation.

It’s part of the EWC Cares programme, launched in 2022 as a key element of the global corporate social responsibility roadmap developed by WBD Sports and which received an Honourable Mention from motorcycle racing’s global governing body at the FIM Annual General Assembly last December.
